Paintings

For her Degree in Art and Design, Mary learned a variety of painting techniques, including oil painting and acrylic painting. She has experimented with concepts as well as materials, choosing unconventional subject matter and grounds for her paintings. Mary’s works often focus on human nature and subvert the viewers’ conceptions of what it means to be human. She motivates viewers to confront their first impressions of subjects through deep investigation of the scene. She substitutes the the conventional primed canvas for unconventional materials.
